Local law enforcement officers descended on Woodbine Apartments in Bucyrus and scooped up crack cocaine, a loaded handgun and three suspects. Bucyrus Police Chief Dave Koepke said a search warrant was executed at Number 3 Woodbine Apartments late Tuesday afternoon.
Koepke noted two are from Columbus and one from Bucyrus. They are 27-year-old Ronald Spiller from Columbus; 20-year-old Dametrius Watters from Columbus; and 45-year-old Todd Hildebrand of Bucyrus. All three are being held at the Crawford County Justice Center pending the filing of formal charges. Officers involved included those from Bucyrus, the METRICH Enforcement Unit and Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.
Koepke also said the suspects had created a makeshift barricade to create a bunker situation in the apartment. No one was injured when police forcibly went through the apartment door which was repaired by officers on the scene.
