BUCYRUS―A Bucyrus man was issued a summons Wednesday afternoon on a drug-related charge.

Ron Wert, 71, was given the summons by Bucyrus Police officers at the station on one count of permitting drug abuse at 12:49 p.m. and issued a court date.

10:45 p.m.-Officers assisted the Bucyrus Fire Department with traffic control while they were investigating an odor of natural gas in the 800 block of West Mary Street.

12:49 p.m.-Ronald Wert, 71, was served a summons on station for permitting drug abuse. He was issued a court date.

1:13 p.m.-A report of possible child abuse was taken in the 900 block of East Mansfield Street.

1:36 p.m.-Officers spoke with a person at the station about a prior case.

3:07 p.m.-Officers made a welfare check in the 1400 block of Woodlawn Avenue.

3:19 p.m.-Officers spoke with a person about a civil issue pertaining to a domestic dispute in the 300 block of West Rensselaer Street.

3:28 p.m.- Officers assisted EMS personnel in the 1600 block of Marion Road. A motorist was slumped over in a parked vehicle with the motor running in the Dollar General parking lot.

4:05 p.m.-Officers served a summons in the 500 block of South Sandusky Avenue.

6:19  p.m.-Officers investigated a 911 hang-up in the 900 block of West Perry Street. No caller was located.

7:08 p.m.-Officers investigated an alarm drop in the 1000 block of Marion Road. It was a false alarm.

5:32 a.m.-Officers assisted EMS personnel at Victoria and Martha Avenues with an intoxicated male that was on the ground.
