Mike Burchett, 56, of Galion passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020 at The James Cancer Hospital in Columbus.
Born July 29, 1963 in Prestonsburg, KY, he was the son of the late Kenneth Gary Burchett and Deanna (Wicker) Burchett of Galion.
He attended Galion City Schools worked as a welder for the former Galion Dresser and Elliott Machine in Galion. Mike was a quiet and genuine person. He enjoyed being around his family and would do anything to help anybody.
In addition to his mother he is also survived by a daughter, Tiffany (David) Fairbairn of Olmsted Township; sisters, Karen (Damon) Schramek of rural Galion, Sandra Kaye (Thomas) Williams of Galion; brothers, twin brother Kenneth R. Burchett of Galion and Stephen L. Burchett of Galion; many nieces nephews, extended family and close friends, Tammy Roberson and Jon McKean.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2020 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 7:00 p.m. following calling hours on Friday, January 31, 2020 with Rev. Joe Stafford officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to James Cancer Hospital Research Center in care of the funeral home.
