Galion City Council is holding a special meeting this evening at the Galion Municipal Building with the expectations of filling a vacancy on council.
The vacancy was created by the resignation of First Ward representative Eric Webber who left council due to moving to Toledo for his job. Webber announced his resignation on May 13.
Council will meet in executive session at 7 p.m. tonight to discuss the opening. The City Council agenda indicates that a new member of council will be appointed following that executive session.
