SANDUSKY — For the second consecutive year, the Upper Sandusky High School boys swim team claimed the A-Behr Invitational title at Sandusky High School, breaking records along the way.
The Rams were led by a first-place finish by the 200-yard medley relay team of Will Barnes, Trever Daughenbaugh, Gage Frey and Brody Williams. The foursome swam a 1:49.33, breaking the previous meet record of 1:50.27 set by Sandusky High School in 2014.
Barnes also secured first-place finishes in the 100-yard butterfly and the 100-yard backstroke.
Upper Sandusky’s Ethan Collins broke a USHS school record in the 200-yard individual medley on his way to a first-place finish. Collins swam a 2:16.05 to break Jacob Glass’s 2017 school record.
Upper Sandusky finished third as a team in the girls’ competition and were led by a first-place finish by Cali Andres in the 100-yard backstroke.
The Bucyrus High School girls swim team finished seventh of 11 teams.
Morgan Young sported the top finish for the Lady Redmen with a fourth-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly, finishing in 1:13.3.
Sam Rager scored the only points for the Redmen in the boys competition, by finishing 11th in the 200-yard freestyle.
