The Crawford County Republican Central Committee will meet next week and under new business will be discussion regarding an interim mayor in Bucyrus. That appointee will complete the unexpired term of Roger Moore who died unexpectedly this week.
Per statute, City Council President Sis Love is acting mayor until the Central Committee appoints an interim. The Central Committee has up to 45 days in which to make that appointment.
That meeting of the Central Committee is at 7 p.m. Thursday evening in the Lower Level Conference Room in the County Administration wing at the courthouse. The Central Committee will also conduct its own re-organization that evening.
