BUCYRUS―Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred on Marion-Melmore Road at Bucyrus-Nevada Road Wednesday morning at 7:34 a.m.

According to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Lisa Clinard, 57, Bucyrus, was traveling westbound on Bucyrus-Nevada Road when she failed to yield for the stop sign at Marion-Melmore Road and pulled into the path of a Ford 150 truck driven by Brent Matthews, 33, Bucyrus, who was traveling southbound on Marion-Melmore Road. Matthews’ vehicle struck Clinard’s Jeep then went off the west side of Marion-Melmore Road and struck a guardrail before it came to rest. Clinard’s Jeep went west on Bucyrus-Nevada Road after the collision, coming to rest partially on the roadway.

Clinard and Matthews were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries by EMS personnel.

Wyandot East EMS and Portsmouth Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.

The crash is under investigation by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.
