CRESTLINE ― Republican Linda Horning Pitt will take over as the mayor of Crestline in January after being elected to the position against her opponent, John Jones.
Pitt said she is ready to take on the position.
“I wanted to step up and take a stand to facilitate positive change in our town,” Pitt said. “I want our town to believe in me, but also believe in themselves, so we can move Crestline forward in a positive way.”
For the Crestline Exempted Village School District Board of Education, Jeff Wilhite will serve another term.
He has served on the board for 14 years.
Wilhite won one of two seats available along with James Glauer while defeating a third candidate, Aaron Martin.
In Galion, four candidates were vying for three seats available for council-at-large positions. The winners were incumbent candidates Mark Triplett, Gail Baldinger and Dr. Thomas Fellner.
