BUCYRUS — It took just one play for this week’s Spitzer Motors Game Changer to make a big impact in Friday night’s game.
With the score only 15-0 in favor of Wynford, Dustin Brady went down with an injury.
For one play, back-up quarterback, sophomore Cobey Allen, would come into relief of Brady, and was warming on the sideline while athletic trainers and coaches were looking at Brady.
On his first play from scrimmage, Allen calmly stepped up in the pocket and delivered a strike down the left hash to Kendall Blair for a 43-yard touchdown pass, and effectively putting the game out of reach for the Royals with 8:16 to play in the first half. The momentum would carry the Royals into halftime with a huge lead.
Congratulations to Cobey Allen from Wynford, the Spitzer Motors Game Changer against Buckeye Central on Contry Legends 1540/107.5 WBCO.
