BUCYRUS― The names of four people arrested during a drug bust in Bucyrus on Thursday have been released.

According to the Bucyrus Police Department, Jonathan Paul Bagley, 30, Cierra N. Vermaaten, 21, Jonathon Arbie Alsept, 24, and Detrell Vashon Lee Bennett, 30, were arrested and formal charges are expected to be filed Friday or Monday. They are being held at the Crawford County Justice Center.

Officers, including members of the Bucyrus, Galion and Crestline Police Departments, the Bucyrus Fire Department, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and METRICH as part of the Crawford County Special Response Team, executed a search warrant at 115 Wallace Ave., early Thursday afternoon after an investigation spurred by numerous tips and complaints from area residents.

The search led to the seizure of about $40,000 street value worth of methamphetamine, heroin, and crack packaged for sale, and in bulk quantities. Also, more than $1,300 cash and other drug-related evidence were confiscated.

Bucyrus Police Chief Dave Koepke said the residence is owned by an elderly man who left the home due to the drug activity and that City Law Director Rob Ratliff is seeking to condemn the home that radiates a putrid, obnoxious odor.
