Crawford:20/20 Vision is pleased to congratulate its newest round of Supervisor Boot Camp graduates. Following the completion of their sixth course in the spring series, 20 supervisors from a wide variety of Crawford County businesses received their certificates and were applauded by their supervisors as well as fellow classmates and Vision representatives.

“Now that we have finished our second series of Supervisor Boot Camp, and being able to compare it with our first series, I was excited to see a more diverse group of individuals from all corners of the county. This allowed our students to gain different perspectives of how our local front-line supervisors approach leadership and challenges,” said Matt Scheffler, Boot Camp Committee chair.

Supervisor Boot Camp is a project formed by the Vision’s Business Success and Job Availability Action Team. Courses cover topics like employment law, communication, time management, coaching skills and conflict resolution. Sessions are highly interactive and hands-on, which gives participants a chance to share resources and experiences – something that will extend beyond the program.

“This is a terrific series of courses designed to increase the skills and knowledge of our local workforce. All the companies and organizations represented in Supervisor Boot Camp are investing in their future and in their employees’ ability to strengthen our local economy. The biggest challenge, however, is what happens next. We encourage these front-line supervisors—and their supervisors—to hold themselves accountable for what they have taken from Supervisor Boot Camp.”

Additional sessions of Supervisor Boot Camp are being planned, including a summer series for all levels of management. For more information, visit www.crawford2020.com or call 419-563-1809.
