Word has come down through the grapevine that the EPA will be enforcing the clean-up of the Sandusky River and the Crawford County commissioners plan on being ahead of the game.
Commissioner Doug Weisenauer reported that Tuesday afternoon’s meeting with Cindy Brooks of the Sandusky River Watershed Coalition was in reference to the septic system project in Oceola. Weisenauer stated that the EPA may soon be moving its focus to small communities in order to get the Sandusky River cleaned up.
Though the EPA has not yet enforced the issue in Crawford County, the commissioners planned on taking steps to work ahead of the matter.
