A man and woman were sentenced to prison Wednesday in unrelated cases during limited proceedings in Crawford County Common Pleas Court.
Thirty-eight-year-old Matthew Huffine of Galion pleaded guilty to a fourthdegree felony driving under the influence of alcohol. Judge Sean Leuthold sentenced Huffine to 18 months in prison with jail time credit, $1,250 fine, license suspension, plate suspension, and the forfeit of his vehicle to Crestline police.
Huffine was also ordered to be entered into an alcohol and drug treatment program.
Twenty-seven-year-old Amber Hall of Howard was sentenced to 16 months in prison after pleading guilty to felony possession of drugs. Hall was first sentenced to eight months in prison for possession of drugs with an additional eight months added for violating probation. Both terms are to be served consecutively with jail time credit.
Following her prison term she is to serve three years of community control.
Finishing up the day was 27-year-old Paul Villavicencio of Bucyrus. Villavicencio pleaded guilty to possession of drugs. His recommended sentence was five years of community control, entrance into an alcohol and drug treatment program, a six-month driver’s license suspension, and a fine of $1,250. Judge Leuthold ordered a pre-sentence investigation before actual sentencing.
