Local law enforcement agencies joined forces again this week and executed a search warrant at a North Robinson residence that resulted in the arrest of two people at that house. METRICH, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Bucyrus and Galion police departments took part in the search of 2480 Western Avenue Tuesday morning.
Officers found marijuana, heroin, syringes, drug paraphernalia, cash and a .44 magnum firearm inside the residence.
Forty-four-year-old David E. Pfeifer, of the same address, was arrested for possession of weapons under disability and booked into the county jail. Pfeifer has prior convictions for drug trafficking and engaging in corrupt activity. Bond for Pfeifer was set at $1 million Wednesday in Municipal Court.
Fifty-two-year-old Marie P. Forsythe was issued a summons for possession of marihuana and released.
The Sheriff’s Office is continuing the investigation and additional charges may be filed after the case is reviewed by the Prosecutor’s Office.
In an unrelated incident, Bucyrus police arrested Katherine Louise Swerlein of Edison in the 200 block of E. Mary St. on Oct. 28 for drug possession and theft. She was transported to the Crawford County jail to be held for court.
Later that same evening, 26-year-old Nathan Rickett and 26-year-old Anissa Surgener were issued summonses for theft and were released pending a court appearance.
Thirty-year-old Jeremiah Dupler was arrested at 8:31 p.m. Tuesday for receiving stolen property. He was issued with a criminal summons and released with a pending court appearance.
