Bucyrus City Council Clerk Kelli Tuttle will be moving out of her office, but she will not be going very far.
Tuttle, who was re-appointed as council clerk for the 2016-2017 term at the last council meeting, will be taking over duties as administrative assistant in the mayor’s office.
“We’re so anxious to have her,” said Mayor Jeff Reser. “She brings enthusiasm, she’s got a good way of working with people, she’s humble. She’ll be very good for the City of Bucyrus.”
Tuttle will not undertake the full position of administrative assistant until another person is selected as council clerk by the City Council. Until that time, she will be working between both offices and will lend a hand when the new council clerk takes over.
Tuttle took the council clerk position in January of 2014 after long-time clerk Regina Zornes retired at the end of the previous year. Eunice Collene held the administrative assistant position previously.
The City of Bucyrus issued the following information regarding the open position of council Clerk:
The Bucyrus City Council Clerk is responsible for maintaining, digitizing, and updating the City’s municipal records and laws and all other tasks as assigned.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word Processing/Spreadsheet skills a must)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are needed
- Office managerial skills a plus
- This is a full-time position that does require attendance at evening Council meetings
