A mother and son, father and mother and a man accused of assault on several deputies of the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office were arraigned Monday.
Natavis Briggs is charged with various levels of assault that are felony charges as well as one count of misdemeanor assault. The most serious charge is second-degree felonious assault which carries a maximum prison sentence if convicted of eight years. Briggs’ bond was set at $500,000 by Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leuthold.
The incident that led to the charges being filed occurred during book-in procedures at the Crawford county Justice Center.

A mother, Sherry Stark, and her son, Justin Testement, were charged with drug trafficking and drug possession respectively. Those charges came as a result of a traffic stop. Bond for both was set at $75,000.
A father and mother face several charges as a result of a child in the home calling police in regards to his parents using heroin in the home. Both Brian Javens and Rachel Merritt are charged with felony drug possession and misdemeanor charges of drug possession, possession of drug abuse instruments and endangering children. Their bonds were set at $150,000 each.
In all, 13 people were arraigned Monday on indictments handed down by the Crawford County Grand Jury. They are shown with charges as well as bonds set in Monday’s proceedings. They are: Aaron Keister, F2 burglary, two counts of F5 drug possession, F3 having weapons under disability, and M2 possession of drug abuse instruments ($350,000); Justin Testement, F5 drug possession ($75,000); Sherry Stark, F5 drug trafficking ($75,000); Shanna Boggs, F3 tampering with evidence and M1 possession of drug abuse instruments ($150,000); Brittany Witten, F3 illegal conveyance of a controlled substance into a detention facility and F3 drug trafficking ($250,000); Nativis Briggs, F2 felonious assault, F4 assault on a police officer, F5 assault on a corrections officer, M1 assault ($500,000); Jamie Cline, F5 drug possession ($150,000); Brian Javens, F5 drug possession, M1 drug possession, M2 possession of drug abuse instruments, and M1 endangering children ($150,000); Rachel Merritt, F5 drug possession, M1 drug possession, M2 possession of drug abuse instruments, and M1 endangering children ($150,000); Christina Zornes, F3 tampering with evidence, F5 drug possession, and F3 illegal conveyance of a controlled substance into a detention facility ($150,000); Jeremy Woods, F4 DUI ($100,000); Joshua Zarcone, F5 drug trafficking ($100,000); and Tristan Pival, F5 receiving stolen property (peronsal recognizance).
