Although Thursday was full of prison sentencing in Crawford County Common Pleas Court, there were also a handful of less severe sentences.
Thirty-four-year-old Jeremy Woods of Orrville pleaded guilty to his charge of driving under the influence, a felony 4 crime. Woods was read his recommended sentence which included five years of community control in addition to license suspension. His bond was then continued and Judge Leuthold proceeded to order a pre-sentence investigation.
Twenty-four-year-old Mariah Horner of Bucyrus was accused of a fourth-degree felony, possession of drugs. She was also accused of trafficking drugs, a felony of the fifth-degree. Judge Leuthold ordered a not guilty plea for Horner.
Judge Leuthold then appointed attorney Tani Eyer to represent Horner. He then went on to set Horner’s bond at $100,000.
Fifty-five-year-old Timothy Rathers of Bucyrus also pleaded guilty for his charge of permitting
drug use, a felony of the fifth degree. His sentence was recommended to be five years of community control with three years of non-mandatory post release control. Failure to abide to the sentence would result in a more restrictive sanction, or prison time. Judge Leuthold then continued Rathers bond and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.
Another resident of Bucyrus,46-year-old Sherry Stark, pleaded guilty to her charge. Stark was charged with trafficking drugs, a felony of the fifth degree. After pleading guilty, she was sentenced with five years of community control. Her bond was then asked to be reduced so she could be released. Stark was granted a personal recognizance bond and was released.
