When Santa Claus came to town he had lots of company – at least in Bucyrus where the jolly old elf was part of the biggest parade ever.

The local high school bands did their part in providing plenty of music to add to the festivities and of course Santa’s elves and reindeers were there as well.

Stacy Ricker talked about the huge parade.

“The only thing I know is 250 registries were in there for the parade this year so they said it was going to be as big as the Thursday Bratwurst Festival parade,” Ricker said. “So it’s bigger than last year.”

The parade received plenty of civic support in terms of floats and entries. Even Mickey Mouse showed up.

Speaking of showing up, Santa was at his house in Picking Park provided by the Kiwanis Club to talk to those who wanted to make sure he knew what to bring them for Christmas. Below is a schedule of when he’ll be back at that house between now and Christmas.

A photo gallery of the parade is on this Website’s photo page.
