Early Wednesday evening Bucyrus police responded with EMS to a call about a possible overdose at a location on Beverly Drive. James Allen Erwin of Windfall Road near Galion was arrested on a charge of possession of heroin.

Erwin was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center. He was formally charged Thursday in a Municipal Court hearing in front of Judge Shane Leuthold. Erwin’s criminal record includes convictions for burglary in 2009 and drug possession in 2012. The judge set bond at $100,000 in the current case.

Also in Municipal Court on Thursday, bond was set for the three people arrested Wednesday at a drug bust in Galion on West Parson Street. Bond was set for Jesse Melba at $250,000 while the bond for Sarah Barker was set at $75,000 and for Lisa Jenkins at $15,000.
