Hundreds of people brought their hunger to Lowe-Volk Park on Saturday and left with full stomachs from the annual Pancakes in the Park fundraiser.
The fundraiser is organized and served by the group, Friends of the Crawford Park District. Former Crawford County Commissioner Mo Ressallat directed the pancake crew and the ham was provided by Carle’s Market.
Park District Commissioner Peg DeGray talks about the big event.
“We appreciate all the people that support the Park District and we had almost 250 people already this morning, so come on out to the Park,” DeGray said.
Those who came out and enjoyed the pancakes had a chance to take a reminder home. The maple syrup made fresh from the Hartschuh Farm was on sale.
Of course after the big breakfast it was time for a long, leisurely walk on the trails at Lowe-Volk Park.
