Two people found themselves facing Judge Russell Wiseman Tuesday afternoon in Common Pleas Court for community control violations.
Gage Ruth will spend the next six months in prison following parole officer Ken Dyer’s motion to remove him from community control. Ruth was arrested on Sept. 3 for possession of drug abuse instruments, and tested positive for marijuana on Aug. 29.
The six months Ruth will serve stems from a conviction for improper handling of a firearm in 2013. Ruth will receive no credit for time served at the Crawford County jail.
Zachary Toller received a two-year extension on community control to five years total after admitting to probation violations.
Toller admitted to taking property from his father Stephen Toller on Aug. 24. On Aug. 25 Toller refused to a drug test as required.
Wiseman ordered Toller’s bond vacated and that he be held in custody of the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office until being until transported on Thursday to Maryhaven for treatment.
A Bucyrus man was granted his request for diversion Monday.
Twenty-five-year-old Michael Banks appeared in Crawford County Common Pleas Court Monday afternoon on a hearing for diversion. Banks had been charged with a fifth-degree felony of breaking and entering.
The motion for diversion was granted and Banks will serve two years on the program.
