On Saturday, April 25 members of the community will have the opportunity to help the Crawford Park District build its Interactive Tree exhibit by participating in its inaugural Ohio Earth Day 5K event. The event commences at the beautiful Aumiller Park in Bucyrus and meanders through idyllic residential neighborhoods before concluding at Aumiller Park. Throughout the course of the event, participants will cross the Sandusky River via two unique pedestrian bridges. Each participant will receive an event tee in recognition of their support. All proceeds will be donated to the Crawford Park District. Event registration is available via www.ohioearthday5k.com.
One-hundred percent of the event’s proceeds will be used by the Crawford Park District to help fund the construction of an Interactive Tree exhibit at the Lowe-Volk Park Nature Center. The primary purpose of this Interactive Tree is to engage and energize children in active nature education. This dynamic nature display will include a soil habitat tunnel, an eagle’s nest, and a hollow log.
To make the Crawford Park District’s Interactive Tree exhibit a reality, they need your help. There are three sponsorship tiers, which will directly fund this capital campaign for the Crawford Park District.
The preeminent sponsorship, a Sustaining Partner, is equitably priced at $1,000. Your company’s name and logo will be featured conspicuously throughout the event website and subsequent social media sites. In addition, your company’s logo will be featured on the back of each event tee, prominently located at the top of the shirt. Finally, only Sustaining Partners will have their logos printed on each and every event flyer.
Your company can be a Supporter of the event for a nominal fee of $250. Your business’ logo will be featured in the sponsorship section of the event website and subsequent social media sites. Finally, your business’ logo will be featured on the back of the event shirts, underneath the Sustaining Partner’s logos.
For a $100 donation, you will be recognized as a Friend of the event. Your name or business name will be featured in the sponsorship section of the website and be printed on the back of the event shirts.
Please make all checks directly payable to “Friends of the Crawford Park District, Inc.”, a 501(c)(3) organization. As such, your contributions will be tax-deductible. Receipts will be rendered for all corporate level sponsorships. If you don’t have money in your charity budget this year, please help us by posting an event flyer at your organization.
Additionally, we need volunteers to help coordinate and efficiently conduct this event.
The Ohio Earth Day Foundation, Inc. was established in 2015 as a non-profit corporation to celebrate, educate and facilitate environmental awareness for the betterment of our community. This calendar year, 100 percent of the earnings will be given to the Crawford Park District to help fund the construction of their Interactive Tree exhibit. The Foundation’s board of directors consists of Clay and Benn Korner, Bill Fisher, John Rostash, Joe Nigh, Lee Billings, Josh Dyer, and Trish Ratliff.
