Early this morning Mansfield Brass in New Washington was reported on fire. Firefighters from several area departments have responded and are battling the active fire.

New Washington Fire Chief Mark Heefner was unavailable to comment on the scene. Crawford County Now reporter Bob Strohm is currently working on this story and will have a report later today.
UPDATE: As of 10:30 this morning the fire at Mansfield Brass was under control but still burning. Several area fire departments sent firefighters and equipment to the scene including the New Washington Fire Department, Liberty Township, Attica, and Bucyrus city. That is not an inclusive list.
There was a skeleton crew working at the time the fire broke out, but all employees got out safely. One early report suggests the fire began in an office area. However, there was no report or indication of the cause of the fire. The State Fire Marshal’s Office has been called to investigate.
A complete story will be available here later today.
