A man accused of shooting another during an incident in Bucyrus last month was arraigned in Crawford County Common Pleas Court on Monday. Carl Massey is charged with second-degree felonious assault.

Because the charge also carried with it a firearms specification, Massey could be sentenced to as long as 11 years in prison if convicted. The incident occurred on Aug. 13 on Union Street when Tyler Wilmouth of Toledo was discovered by police with a shotgun wound during a traffic stop. Wilmouth was treated and released from a Columbus hospital.

Massey is free on a $100,000 bond.
