Charges that include seven counts of drug trafficking were read in Common Pleas Court for the arraignment of David Alspach.

Possession of marijuana paraphernalia, criminal damaging, trafficking in drugs (cocaine), trafficking in drugs (heroin), trafficking in drugs, trafficking in drugs (heroin), trafficking in drugs (cocaine), trafficking in drugs (heroin)The charges all felony four and felony five counts, carry a maximum prison sentence of 92 months with a potential fine of $27,500. Five of the counts allege trafficking heroin while one alleges crack cocaine and the other cocaine.

Alspach pleaded not guilty at the arraignment. Grant Garverick was appointed to represent Alspach. Judge Sean Leuthold set bond at $500,000.

Twenty-seven-year-old Heather Mosely’s short time on community control has not gone well. Sentenced to five years of community control in April following her conviction for felony five theft, Mosely was back in court Wednesday on charges she violated her probation by giving false information to a police officer, giving drugs to another person, and testing positive on a drug test.

Assistant Prosecutor Ryan Hoovler explained that Mosely is accused of injecting her husband with heroin. Her husband then overdosed and had to be revived by paramedics.

Hoovler said new charges from that incident are expected to be filed against Mosely.

Grant Garverich was appointed to represent Mosely and bond was set at $250,000. A full hearing on the matter is expected to be set once new charges against Mosely have been filed.
