November high school football in Ohio means playoffs as the sport moves to the one-and-done format. Crawford County has two teams in the postseason this season and the Northern 10 Athletic Conference has three.

Wynford rolled through the regular season unblemished once again as the Royals completed their perfect regular season mark with a 62-12 win on Friday over cross-county rival Buckeye Central. The Royals are the second seed in Division VI, Region 22 and will face Gibsonburg in week 11 on the Royals’ home turf.

The Golden Bears went 8-2 during the 10-game regular season with losses to Tiffin Calvert and Montpelier. Wins for Gibsonburg included decisions over 6-4 Northwood and 7-3 Danbury.

upper-sandusky-vs-colonel-crawford-03Colonel Crawford’s Eagles are making a trip back to the playoffs following Friday’s 34-14 win over Upper Sandusky. The Eagles, whose only losses this season are to Wynford and Seneca East who are both playoff qualifiers, will make the long trek to Henry County to take on the Liberty Center Tigers.

The Tigers, like the Eagles, are 8-2 and earned the fourth seed on Region 22. Colonel Crawford is the five seed. Liberty Center losses were to unbeaten and Region 22 top seed Patrick Henry, and Swanton who is 9-1 and a Division V playoff team. Wins for Liberty Center this season included 7-3 Tinora and 8-2 Nelsonville-York.

Although Seneca East lost to Carey in a wild 46-41 shootout on Friday, the Tigers from Attica wynford-vs-seneca-east-7will be in the playoffs, also in Region 22. Seneca East is the six seed and will play third-seeded Ayersville.

Wynford, Colonel Craford and Seneca East are all in Division VI, Region 22 and will play at 7:30 on Friday evening. The Wynford game will be broadcast on WQEL while Colonel Crawford will be broadcast on WBCO FM and www.wqel.com.
