Tuesday marks the beginning of farmers’ market season in Crawford County.
The Crestline Farmers Market will start off the season on May 3 and will take place every Tuesday from 3 – 6 p.m. until the end of October. A complete list of vendors for opening day is as follows:
- Paynter Family Farm – organic fed beef, chicken, pork
- Special Wish non-profit – towels and other crafts
- 8 Sisters – donuts, variety of filled specialty rolls
- Lilies of the Field – Wendy Schwall – many varieties of day lilies
- Casey’s Custom Crafts – magnets and other crafts
- Willy Clark – candy, cookies and cream
- Witter Produce – flowers, produce, bedding, plants
- Rusty Star Primitives – garden items, bird baths, fresh herbs, popcorn, candy
- Heavenly Suds Soap – all natural soaps, lotions, lip balms
- Jestina Jeffries – candy, baked goods, bread, rolls
- Beth Hass – macrame chairs, bottle chimes, solar lights
- Marsh Run Maple Syrup Brokensword Apiary – local honey and varieties of honey
- Crestline Public Library – gently used adult and children books
- Charlie and Barb Carroll – eggs (Ohio license) noodles, produce, crocheted items, bread
- Made With Love, Linda Winbigler – doll clothes for 13-18” dolls, Build a Bear, goose clothing
- George and Linda – apple dumplings, pies
- Theresa’s Pickled Vegetables
- John Waldruff – throw pillows, lathe turned bowls, lidded boxes, French rolling pins, crosses, cutting boards, wine bottle holders
- Oh So Delicious – dips, mixes
- Back To Our Roots Farm – eggs, beef, pork, jam, and crafts
- Lions Club – hot dogs (only the first Tuesday of each month)
- Wood crafts by Clete – rustic woodworking, benches, cupboards, trees
- Michelle McClintock – varieties of candy and cookie confections
- Garden Patch Garden – bedding plants
- Melissa Pry – dip mixes, “Blue Poodle” candle melts, patriotic signs
- Marci Teynor – pies, cookies
- Angie’s Tasty Treats – fudge, soft pretzels, fruit breads, cinnamon rolls

The Bucyrus Farmers Market will start its season on May 7 with in-season produce and fruit; flowers; bedding plants; herbs; organic-fed beef, pork, and chicken; baked goods, all-natural soap and bath products; arts and crafts; jewelry; maple syrup; and honey. Non-profit groups will also be grilling for a donation.
Market hours are from 8:30 a.m. to noon across from AutoZone, 1695 E. Mansfield St. The dates for the Bucyrus Farmers Market are as follows: May 7, 14, 21, and 28; June 4, 11, 18, and 25; July 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30; Aug. 6, 13, 20, and 27; Sept. 3, 10, 17, and 24; and Oct. 8, 15, 22, and 29.

The NorthSide Farmers Market in Galion will begin on May 19. It will be held from 4 – 6:30 p.m. in Heise Park every Thursday through early October. Galion’s market is a producer-only, hand-made goods market that accepts SNAP on eligible products.
