The 2015 Ducthtown Hatchery Festival should be an affair well worth attending. At the end of this week, June 11th, 12th,and 13th, the village of New Washington will host its annual Hatchery Festival. This fun-filled festival is sure to have the whole family eager to participate in some good ole’ “Chick Fest” quality excitement.
The daily sound of lively music will fill New Washington as a wide-variety of bands play their tunes in the beer garden and the gazebo.
Back for the fifth year in a row is the ever-popular carnival rides. So, while the “kiddies” are having the time of their lives, adults can grab some tasty food at some of the nearby vendor choices. There are a wide variety of foods, but many mouths water for Snooties BBQ.
Most of the festival’s special events are Saturday. The morning kicks off with the poker run. Then, beginning at 5 p.m., the streets will be bursting with parade excitement.
Following the parade at 7 p.m., the 5K run/walk will take place. The One-Mile Fun Run starts at 7:05 p.m. The 5K costs $20 and the Fun Run is free.
To wrap up the festival hoopla, a raffle will be drawn for a new, eye-catching Polaris 4-wheeler. The festival will conclude with Saturday evening’s fireworks display beginning at 10.
