Community control was the order of the day Wednesday in Crawford County Common Pleas Court where three cases went before Judge Sean Leuthold.
The only case to proceed to sentencing was that of James Schenk. Jr. Schenk was sentenced to five years of community control including completion of a drug and alcohol treatment program for his conviction on a charge of felony five drug possession that involved heroin.
Sean Hazelton of Mansfield pleaded guilty to the third-degree felony of having weapons under disability. Hazelton’s bond was continued in order for a pre-sentence investigation to be done. The recommended sentence is five years of community control and completion of an approved drug and alcohol treatment program.
The third case was that of Katherine Villavicencio of Nevada. Villavicencio pleaded guilty to felony five drug possession. The recommended sentence is five years of community control, a mandatory $1,250 fine and costs, completion of alcohol and drug treatment and 90 days in the county jail. Bond was continued in the case until a pre-sentence investigation could be completed.
