Another person arrested this past summer in one of the county’s numerous drug busts won’t be back on the streets for a while.
Fifty-one-year-old Keith Williams pleaded guilty to a third-degree felony possession of drugs charge in Crawford County Common Pleas Court Tuesday afternoon.
The Bucyrus man had been the subject of a drug bust when local police executed a search warrant at 235 East Rensselaer St. on Sept. 19. During that search warrant, authorities seized a large amount of heroin, prescription medication, drug paraphernalia, and cash.
Municipal Court Judge Sean Leuthold had set bond at $1 million on Sept. 22 and that bond had been continued in Common Pleas Court on Oct. 23.
Judge Russell Wiseman sentenced Williams to 36 months in prison with jail time credit of 61 days. Williams must pay a $5,000 mandatory drug fine and forfeit any drug-related property and $326 to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office. His driver’s license was also suspended for six months.
Roderick Phillips was sentenced to prison after admitting to violating the terms of his community control. The 31-year-old Galion man admitted that he had refused to submit to a urine test on two occasions, changed his residence without permission, and failed to report to his monthly office visits with his supervising officer.
Phillips received a six-month prison sentence with jail time credit of 58 days.
Heather Rohe will be avoiding any jail time – at least in Crawford County. The 37-year-old woman pleaded guilty to an amended possession of drugs felony and will be serving five years on community control.
Rohe admitted to possessing prescription drugs on Aug. 7, 2012.
While on community control, Rohe must successfully complete an inpatient drug and alcohol treatment program and pay a $2,000 mandatory drug fine. Her driver’s license was also suspended for six months.
Rohe is not out of the clear yet, however. She is still facing charges in Sandusky and Seneca counties, which occurred at the same time as her Crawford County felony.
Thirty-four-year-old Jamie White of Galion was placed on the court’s diversion program after entering a guilty plea to theft. That plea will be held until she successfully completes the program. White must pay the cost of the program and pay restitution in the amount of $3,535 to U.S. Bank.
Twenty-year-old Tyler McKee of Bucyrus was placed on a two-year intervention program. McKee entered a guilty plea on a breaking and entering charge, which will be held until he successfully completes intervention.
