The story originally stated that Principal David Mounts was on paid administrative leave. That has since been corrected.
The Crestline Advocate has reported that Crestline High School Principal David Mounts will not be returning to active duty.
Mounts had been on paid leave since Nov. 11 but he reached an agreement with the school district on Dec. 10. He is now on leave for personal reasons, according to Superintendent Noreen Mullens. Mullens did not release details of why Mounts was relieved of his duties. Mounts was hired on a two-year contract in June paying him $74,000 annually.
School board members approved the agreement on Dec. 10 in a special meeting.
