The Crestline Police Department are investigating a suspicious death in the 700 block of Bucyrus Street. An alert was sent out by the Crestline Police Department just after 8 p.m. Tuesday notifying residents that a possible dead on arrival overdose was being investigated, though the matter is still unconfirmed. When reached for a comment the police department said they would release a statement to the press later today.
UPDATE July 6, 2016 at 9:16 a.m.: The Crestline Police Department received a call for service at 12:12 p.m. Tuesday at 707 W. Bucyrus Street for an unresponsive female. Upon arrival, police found a deceased middle-aged white female. It was believed that she died from a probable drug overdose. The police department stated the name of the woman will be released once the remaining next of kin have been notified.
Thirty-six-year-old Clifford Aaron Macklin, who resides at that residence, was taken into custody on a probation violation.
The investigation remains ongoing.
