The numbers are in and Crawford County’s jobless rate for September showed improvement again. At 4.8 percent, September’s unemployment rate in the county was slightly better than in August which was 4.9.
But when compared to a year ago, the difference was much more significant. In September of 2014, Crawford County’s unemployment was 5.5 percent. According to the latest report from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, 18,100 people are working out of a labor force of 19,000 in the county.
However, Crawford County is tied for the highest unemployment rate in the region with Huron County. Wyandot County has the lowest rate at 3.2 percent.
