Two people who were on community control are headed to prison following their admission to charges they violated terms of their probation on Monday.
Twenty-nine-year-old Jesse Dye, of Bucyrus, admitted to violating his community control for testing positive for THC and cocaine, admitting to using heroin, refusing to submit to a drug screen, and failing to comply with a verbal order from his parole officer. Dye, who was placed on community control in April after pleading guilty to four counts of forgery, received seven months in prison on each count. The sentences will be served consecutively for a total of 28 months in prison.

Thirty-one-year-old Shannon Evans pleaded guilty to complicity to commit theft, a fifth-degree felony. She was sentenced to seven months in prison and must pay restitution in the amount of $754.97.
“Shannon, come on, straighten up,” Judge Sean Leuthold said. “Don’t you get tired of sitting in orange?”

Thirty-two-year-old Samantha Wilson, of Shelby, was ordered to pay her child support as part of her sentence. Wilson previously pleaded guilty to criminal non-support, a fifth-degree felony.

Two people are expected to receive community control after their pre-sentence investigations are completed. Forty-year-old Tracie Huffman, of Crestline, pleaded guilty to felony 5 domestic violence while 25-year-old Myriah Nikolaus, of Mansfield, pleaded guilty to felony 5 drug possession. Huffman’s sentence would include drug and alcohol treatment and an anger management program. Nikolaus’ would include entrance into the Intensive Supervision and Treatment program, a six-month driver’s license suspension, and a $250 fine.
