The Bucyrus community is being asked to rally around and in support of one of its own, 16-year-old Noah Lear.
The Bucyrus High School sophomore was seriously injured on Feb. 27 while playing basketball with a group of friends. Noah was hurt when the backboard, rim and post broke and fell on top of him. Noah was flown by medical helicopter to Nationwide Children’s Hospital where he remains.
A benefit is being held at 4 p.m., April 2, at Bucyrus High School. There will be a silent auction, bake sale, spaghetti dinner and 50/50 drawing.
