One of Mark Callicoat’s days in Crawford County Common Pleas Court will be Jan. 19 according to the court’s case file and docket.

Callicoat is the Crestline police officer accused of felony bribery along with misdemeanor charges of falsification and dereliction of duty. The bribery charge, which is a third-degreed felony, carries a maximum prison sentence of 36 months.

Callicoat was indicted on Nov. 2 by the Crawford County Grand Jury following an investigation by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification. The charge was filed by Special Prosecutor Brian Deckert who is a senior assistant attorney general.

Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leuthold released Callicoat on a personal recognizance bond. There is no indication as to what the Jan. 19 hearing will involve.
